Hiking enthusiasts find a small paradise in the rolling hillsides of the Ahr Valley: The red wine hiking trail winds its way through the vineyard terraces—at turns wildly romantic and leisurely.

Enjoy the many views of the most well known red wine region in all of Germany!

Starting in Altenahr and heading on to Bodendorf, the red wine hiking trail ascends mid-hill past Mayschoss, Rech, Dernau, Marienthal, Walporzheim, Bachem, Ahrweiler and Bad Neuenahr through picturesque landscapes. The trail extends for 35 km through the vineyards and slopes of the Ahr.

Local hiking trails lead to green slopes and offer beautiful views of the Ahr’s romantic red wine paradise.
